About Me

Updated: 2022-05-24

I'm Larry Anderson, and this is my personal blog.

I'm a historian by training, a car nut by genetic inheritance, and a market research operations guy by trade, as well as a geek by inclination. I live in Ventura, California, and I'm married to the world's most beautiful psychologist, who is in no way responsible for anything I say. Neither are my employers, who shall remain unnamed for their own protection, as well as mine.

Here's where you can find me online:
Mastodon | Twitter | 10Centuries | Pnut.io | Instagram

I also have the accounts below, which are dormant:

Plurk | Quitter.se

You can see my Pinboard bookmarks here:

If you need to message me, the best way to do that is via a DM on Mastodon (Twitter is distinctly second-best here).

About the blog
This blog is a combination of many different blogs I've had over the last several years. I've used Vox, WordPress, Tumblr, Blogger, Posterous, and Posthaven, and I finally decided to import everything into one location. As you might imagine, posts originating in multiple platforms using different standards of HTML and Markdown have resulted in some formatting issues, which I am currently working on rectifying. Nevertheless, you may find some weirdness here and there, for which I apologize in advance. Technology is hard.

The current version is powered by 10Centuries, an independent blog and social networking platform developed by Jason Irwin, a Canadian developer who lives in Japan. He's responsive and hard-working, and I recommend both him and 10Centuries if you're looking for a place for your stuff. You can contact him here.
