@matigo There's no such thing as a secret full vote on the floor of the US Congress, but there are committees and subcommittees that handle sensitive or classified national security info, and those may be secret. There are, however, votes that take place in the middle of the night or without notice (as we learned the other day), and this will help to keep track of whether one's representative is voting in accord with one's preferences.
