@kdfrawg Mom and pop places are often places with bad boundaries and unprofessional behavior. I always worked in a corporate environment, where legal niceties had to be observed to the letter.
The one time I was unceremoniously fired, it was from a mom and pop bookstore that went under a few months later, and don't think there wasn't a bit of Schadenfreude on my part when it happened. :-)
