@hazardwarning I understand. The GNU Social stuff in theory should "just work" once you have an account. The only tricky bit is that when you mention or reply to someone, you need their full @username@server as shown here (it just autofills it for replies).
Like you, I have no interest in running my own server for this stuff. Way too much investment for the likely return.
