@phoneboy My personal experience (and we all know that diabetes is essentially different for everyone who has it) is that I don't do well below 70 mg/dL. The morning of my surgery I was running on nervous energy more than anything else (I hate hospitals), which overrode my usual response.

@matigo That's probably because it's below 70 mg/dL, which is sometimes considered below normal depending on whom you ask. When I had my cataract surgery a few years ago, I tested below 60 mg/dL, which resulted in a very painful glucose shot before they could operate.
