Someone just ran up and told me the IT transition team was ready for me now (I was originally scheduled for 8:30am today, then rescheduled for next Friday). It's 3:54pm, and it's Friday.

Inwardly, I LOL'd.
Outwardly: "No."

The place I go more often than not is a small, mom-and-pop lunch place hidden away in a nearby industrial park, and catering mostly to its tenants. They have a wider variety than one would expect, and a nice, quiet outdoor patio, which helps to de-stress.

Wouldn't want to offend. ;-)

To tell the truth, I've been there for lunch twice in the last two years. I usually prefer to put some distance between myself and the office when I go out (and it's usually a zoo, anyway).

This is where I observe that my office is literally next door to an In-N-Out. (Satellite photo was taken during In-N-Out construction)

Yep. The area where I grew up used to have a heavy Seventh-Day Adventist presence, and they observe the Sabbath on Saturday. I loved the Adventist kids when I was a McDonald's manager, because they'd work on Sunday with me. :-)

True, in the case of In-N-Out, California law takes precedence and your continued allegiance is not optional. Five Guys v. California, 1996, I believe.

//

They'd probably conform to the Israeli norm, but that's just a guess.

Holy crap. This is happening directly across the street from my favorite Ventura deli!

@kdfrawg It's an error message. I think I'll paste it into Twitter, just to screw with their algorithm.
