@kdfrawg My mom signed up with Nomorobo, and she's been pretty happy with the results.

@kdfrawg No. I do get calls for whoever had the number previously, though.

I have it configured as the default on my own Android phone, which like yours has a number that nobody else knows. ?

I like it, but I know very few people who actually use it.

Sent my nephew (an Android user) an SMS to wish him a happy birthday. Apparently he's using Signal as his default messenger, because his response came through to my Signal app. Cool.

I knew my brother and his wife raised him right. :-)

If only there was some method of written communication that bore at least a tangential relationship to how a word is pronounced…

Not surprising, since they're in Japanese and you're Canadian. ?

Nah, I have no problem with strong religious convictions, but some people are just angry about it, if you know what I mean.

Sometimes, Facebook is useful.

I ran across a reference to someone I knew and worked with thirty years ago, with a link to her Facebook profile. When she moved away to another part of the state way back when, I helped her move and get settled in. She had her issues, but was basically a sweet person. After she moved, we lost touch.

So I clicked the link to see whatever happened to her and what she was up to, and found out she turned into a Bible-thumping right-winger. Yikes. Clicked out of there, grateful to have lost touch.
