@kdfrawg I know, right? I'm trying to give them money, but they're too wrapped up in believing that their accounting department is perfect. <sigh>

I have, and I'm not the only one. That being said, the decisions are being made by old white guys in their fifties (like me, I suppose) and sixties who don't necessarily understand the future.

Vendors who argue with you when you try to tell them they need to invoice you for past work. I'm trying to give them money (over $30K); I'm not going to try forever. People are weird.

@kdfrawg Given the current situation at work, where we have no choice but to migrate lots of stuff to new platforms in order to get off the infrastructure of our former owners, I know which is likelier to get fixed. Our new private equity overlords are going to squeeze every last second of use out of existing installed hardware.

@kdfrawg It may well be a system issue, but that's kind of the point. The cheap Dell hardware we get is not the best, and meanwhile, the cloud-based tools I use for invoicing and project management give me no problems. Anything that gets critical infrastructure off the crap hardware is a win in my book.

It will never happen, but at least I wouldn't waste time rebooting because Excel locked up.

Controversial opinion: I spend so much time dealing with Microsoft Office issues lately that I'd be thrilled if my company migrated to Google Docs.

It's nice to know that Russian Post tracking is as useful as USPS tracking. ?

@kdfrawg Or nested like matryoshka dolls…

@kdfrawg No, I'm holding out for a vintage Reagan-Gorbachev bobblehead. ?
