Well, it's important to do what you're good at. :-)

Don't confuse the man, Barrie. He said "when blogging." :-)

A post is just that. A page is a static page on your blog (like an About Me page, for example).

Good question. Fortunately, because Mom is 77 years old, she's covered by Medicare, which will pay for everything (or at least most of it).

Yes, I got a cookie. :-)

Thanks to , we now know that the last post to ADN was spam:

You'll get no argument from me.

Congratulations! Your site has been blocked by my company's overly aggressive IT policy. :-/

Well, that was stressful.

My mother has one of those emergency buttons that is used to call for help. She was out weeding in her garden when something set it off, and when the company called to confirm if she was OK, it went unanswered because she was outside and couldn't hear the phone ringing.

So, they sent the fire department and ambulance over.

And called my brother and me.

So I left the office and went tearing over there, significantly exceeding the speed limit, and found her outside with an exasperated look on her face.

"Well Mom, at least we know that it works."

I'm not sure she was convinced.

Meanwhile, I think I deserve a chocolate chip cookie for all the stress.

I've always wondered if St.Patrick's Day is as big a deal in Ireland as it is in the U.S., or if it's one of those things that immigrants to the U.S. seized upon as a way to hold onto their heritage, blowing it up out of all proportion to the way it's celebrated in the home country. I suppose it's all globalized now anyway.

Doing my part over here, wearing as much green as I can (I'm partially of Irish descent). Sláinte!
