@kdfrawg That's what we had when I was a kid. I wish I still had it.
Took the day off work. Ran some errands this morning and went to Five Guys for lunch. Next up:
@kdfrawg My favorite French leader was Georges Clemenceau:
"America is the only nation in history which miraculously has gone directly from barbarism to degeneration without the usual interval of civilization."
"If you don't vote Socialist/Communist before you are twenty, you have no heart - if you do vote Socialist/Communist after you are twenty, you have no head."
"A collective tyrant, spread over the length and breadth of the land, is no more acceptable than a single tyrant ensconced on his throne."
@kdfrawg De Gaulle had his issues, but I'll take de Gaulle over Pétain any day of the week, and twice on Sunday.
@hazardwarning This isn't exactly Sarajevo 1914, but with the tensions in the world today, the unstable Turkish political situation, the Syrian war, and an increasingly activist Russia, this doesn't help.
If anyone is unfamiliar with the name "Gavrilo Princip," this would be a good time to do a Google search and take a deep breath.
