@matigo People like color, and the old theme had interesting yet readable typography. The current theme is a bit too monochromatic for my taste (and the default font size is too big on desktop IMO).
That said, themes really should be the choice of the blog owner to the extent practicable. I'm looking forward to theming ability.

@matigo Fortunately, Cappuccino is a capable web app, and we've got Blurby Bot for notifications. A native app would be welcome, but it's not like the place is unusable without one.

I would also be checking out Pnut.io, but despite having been contacted by @33mhz about it, he hasn't responded to requests for the invite code that would actually get me in. Which tells me that either it isn't ready for prime time, or he's changed his mind about having me there. ¯\(ツ)/¯
