Probably means it's time to take a few weeks off, unplug from everything and go sailing/hiking/<insert favorite leisure activity here>.

They made the cardinal mistake of letting their ideas about what their service should be get in the way of taking money for the things that would have made it what their customers wanted it to be.

Ha! I'll get right on that. :)

And, importantly, wherever you go, there you are.

The big name douchebags were never going to stick around anyway. Most of them weren't really interested in the kind of interaction and conversation that ADN became known for, and were always going to be heading for the Next Big Thing anyway.

One of the defining moments of my ADN experience was when I realized this and unfollowed all of them. I followed Andy Ihnatko to ADN, but that was the last time I ever followed a tech celebrity anywhere. They just aren't worth my time.

I completely forgot that I'm backing up all my iPhone photos to Flickr. I set it several months ago and just now had occasion to log in for a different reason, and there it all was.

That, people, is a properly done backup. Completely transparent and forgettable until needed. Nicely done.

I liked PicPlz. Never could figure out why ADN didn't incorporate the PicPlz filters into photo sharing, but then I never could figure out why they were so goddamn pigheaded about giving the people what they wanted.

@skematica Also, sorry to hear that. I hope he gets it back on track.

@skematica Speaking as a diabetic, he should be testing his blood sugar regularly (i.e., several times a day) and administering insulin accordingly. The problem might not be with the doctor.
