Stuff like this is why I always check the California Highway Patrol traffic website before commuting home. First, it's bloody entertaining sometimes; second, I was considering this particular alternate route tonight, and I suppose this nixes it.

@tewha I don't know what to tell you. I literally taught myself to read from Richard Scarry books. My parents realized this when I was five years old and started reading out loud the words on the billboards along the freeway. When I was your son's age, I started reading The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich by William Shirer. Took me four years, but I finished it. During that time, I also read the entire original Foundation trilogy. To me, reading is a part of life.
