@kdfrawg There's something to be said for keeping different carriers. My wife is on Verizon and will be staying there, so we're doing something similar, since Fi relies on a combination of T-Mobile, Sprint, and US Cellular, plus Wi-Fi.

Ah, but that's the beauty of Fi. No international roaming--it's all the same price as what you pay here, $10 a GB.

And our stipend is $60, so at $50/month I'll have a few bucks left over for coffee and whatnot. :-)

And watching the Python gang beat the hell out of a two-hour written essay final exam, too. :-)

I'm sure Carl XVI Gustaf was very disappointed. :-)

(What's with the second name after the Roman numeral, anyway? Swedish monarchs all seem to do that, and it's, um, odd.)

When I was in high school decades ago, my senior-year English literature teacher used the last day of class--which was intended for the final exam1--to show us "Monty Python and the Holy Grail," something he did every year. His excuse to the administration was that it was an excellent example of modern British satire. :-)

  1. He considered the Advanced Placement exam to be our final.

Yes, vastly different use cases. My company got rid of company-paid mobile accounts in favor of a monthly mobile stipend, which will actually have some $ left over with Fi.

I'm mostly on Wi-Fi anyway. At my current data usage, I should save about $30 a month compared to AT&T.

Are you sure that you're allowed to retain British citizenship if you haven't watched Monty Python? ;-)

No, signing up with Project Fi.

Getting ready to say sayonara to AT&T, and it feels good.
