They never wanted to run a social network. They thought they were building an app platform. And they never embraced the notion of running a social network even after it was clear that's what users wanted and were willing to pay for.

They've moved on. Dalton is busy being a VC, Berg is doing who-knows-what, and ADN has been in their rear-view mirror for two years. They probably view it as a failure, and people tend to avoid dealing with their failures.

I doubt very much they'll be offering anything to anybody.

Have I heard from ADN management?

<crickets>

It's been a significant part of my life online. I just feel the need to bring it to an orderly conclusion on my own time and in my own way.

I have some measure of responsibility for that myself, but it's been a hard year. Need to make some changes in my online life if I'm to keep some level of sanity.

We all know that Twitter is all but useless these days without enough mute filters to choke a horse.

I just signed off my account on ADN. I'll be at @la until sometime tomorrow, where I'll say my final goodbye over there, then I'll be signing off ADN for good. I'm really happy so many people have chosen to migrate over to here and Pnut. Makes it easier somehow.

Glad you made it!

ADN is starting to feel like the last episode of Battlestar Galactica. Everyone is departing, and the place we've called home for 4 1/2 years is about to be flown into the sun.
