Something that just occurred to me: you're in Madison, right? There's a Sikh gurdwara there. It's just once a week, but they serve a meal ("Langar") on Sundays at 1 PM. It isn't charity--it's an essential part of the Sikh religion for everyone to eat together, communally, sitting on the floor, to symbolize the equality of all people. It's part of their worship practices. Sikhs are good people. You would be welcomed.

@kdfrawg I can well imagine.

I remember when that happened. It was shocking at the time, and has lost none of its power in the intervening years. Such a senseless waste of human lives.

@kdfrawg It was. I so infrequently code-switch that it didn't seem worth the annoyance.

That's what drove me nuts about SwiftKey. It always suggested the wrong language, at least for me.

This is why I use Swype for non-English keyboards. I can pick the language I want. No ambiguity.

I rather like that.

Especially since the dear old Grauniad has US, UK, and Aussie editions…

And that's what matters.

@kdfrawg When it comes to food and drink, one's own taste is the only one that matters. Life is too short to drink something you don't like.
