Counter.social is controversial within the Mastodon community because of its use of the Mastodon code base without federating with anyone else. The creator of Mastodon has said it's not really cricket, and I respect his opinion.

If there's anyone here who isn't already on Mastodon, here's an invite to the instance I'm on. You'll follow me automatically if you use it.

Feeling a bit tired, so I'm having a triple espresso. You may need to peel me off the ceiling later.

I got an Orange Vanilla Coke Zero from one of those Coca-Cola Freestyle machines and I think I'm in love.

Someone actually reached out to me to ask a question instead of just taking a guess and hoping I'll fix it. It is a good day. :-)

Interestingly, Wikipedia has a photo of a Carina with Aussie plates:

It's used in conjunction with Rikerin, which attempts to fertilize everything it contacts.

Exactly. Combine a respect for order with a drive for efficiency and a truly evil regime, and what happened was inevitable. Many people compartmentalized their thinking to some degree, which allowed them not to think about the horrors that were being carried out as a result of their timely reports and accurate inventories. Add to that the same historical and casual (and sometimes not so casual) antisemitism that afflicted much of Europe, as well as thinking along the lines of, "I am a patriotic German, and I do not agree with everything that is being done but I love my country," and you can see how otherwise decent men and women made the moral compromises that allowed them to coexist with aggressive war and industrialized murder.

I think it's sometimes not intentionally difficult as much as it is incompetently set up.

It's a pain in the ass is what it is. They're sending the password reset email to my personal Gmail, but the office firewall blocks Gmail. Not only that, but it blocked the reset email when I tried to forward it to my work email, probably because it contains an embedded link.

I'll deal with it when I get home, assuming they haven't borked their password reset procedure, which wouldn't surprise me. Arrgggh.
