@matigo That's basically what I did when I bought the Sonata--got it for about $10K under what a new one would have cost. Can't see paying $24K when I don't have to.
@matigo Were I in your situation, I'd probably keep the Daihatsu if it will pass the Shaken. Buying new is kind of a sucker move over here with the depreciation hit you take as soon as you drive it off the lot, and I usually recommend certified pre-owned, but I'm not familiar with the Japanese auto retail scene.

@matigo The reviews I've seen are generally positive. Over here they occupy the small-SUV end of the market, and the only negatives I've seen are about space or the lack thereof. Compared to your kei-class Daihatsu, though, it should be positively spacious.
