Good morning. The Thomas Fire is currently just over 270 square miles (700 square kilometers) and is advancing towards some very expensive real estate in Montecito (which is where people live who don't want to go slumming in Santa Barbara).
Current status: doing the most painful part of employment by corporate America--personal comments and self-assessments for the annual end-of-year review.1
My personal feeling is that it's my boss' job to tell me if I'm doing well or not. "Yeah, I'm awesome. If you disagree, prove it." :-)
What I want to know is, did they think of a new way to accomplish that? Because I'm kind of fond of the traditional way. Do you think they need volunteers? ?
The spirit of ADN lives on: got a PM on Twitter from a former ADNer offering to send me a box of N100 masks to deal with the smoke from the fires in Ventura. ADN people always were the best people. :-)
They’ve sent an ambulance strike team to evacuate Ojai Valley Hospital. My wife’s office is half a block from there. ?
@matigo I think we're safe here now. The fire burned through this area already, and is now threatening Santa Barbara County and the Ojai Valley.
