@kdfrawg Indeed. I can see, however, that it would be easy to throw a zimmer into the boot of one's saloon. ;-)

@hazardwarning Had to spend a few minutes with Google to figure out that a zimmer is what we would call a walker. My German-trained brain automatically translated it as "room," which made no sense. See also "divided by a common language," etc. ?

@hazardwarning I know all too well what it's like caring for an elderly parent. Frustrating, maddening, heartbreaking. And damned difficult. You're a good daughter. Hugs…
@kdfrawg Definitely a fan. The man can write a song, no two ways about it. I think the most heartbreaking lyric in the English language is from "Sam Stone":
There's a hole in Daddy's arm where all the money goes…
@kdfrawg You can pretty much just put everything he ever wrote and performed in that list, and it'll be purely wonderful.
@kdfrawg I have probably mentioned that the finest concert I ever attended was John Prine at the Strawberry Music Festival at Camp Mather just outside Yosemite. A clear night in a beautiful Alpine meadow with good friends. Doesn't get much better than that.
@kdfrawg Here's another classic John Prine relationship song. :-)
