Cool! Who was it?

When I was a kid, I liked it because I could dress up like a cowboy or a pirate or an astronaut and go around collecting free candy. What kid doesn't like that?

As an adult, I'm glad I live in a restricted complex that posts a guard to keep the trick-or-treaters from the surrounding neighborhood out. Yes, I'm a terrible person.

This seems highly questionable to me.

Or a cowboy, or a ballerina, or a pirate, or Alexander Hamilton (that was 's daughter this year).

Drove past a local church today that is having a "Harvest Festival" tonight to avoid saying "Halloween Party."

My reaction: ?

Just caught up on #teadragonsociety and #witchycomic. Both excellent works of art!

It's funny how our brains work. Some things I've just seen more often in another language, and that's what comes to mind first. For example, seeing someone lean out of the window of a bus or moving vehicle, I usually think "Nicht hinauslegen!"

Makes sense. I obviously think almost completely in English, but there are a few concepts I learned first in German, so the English rough equivalents are always just translations in my brain.

Jason is right. That does sound like a radio station in Kamloops. :-)

Just curious--what do you consider to be your native language? And what is your favorite language?
