A common Orthodox view, which traditional Catholics may share, is that cremation is a repudiation of the doctrine that the dead will be resurrected on the Day of Judgment.

I was Orthodox, not Catholic, but I imagine the rationale is that grave sites are usually consecrated by a priest. Also, cremation has traditionally been frowned upon by traditional (read: Catholic/Orthodox) Christians, though I guess that's probably a post-Vatican II change.

You know you've lost when your opponent is laughing at you.

This is some world-class trolling right here.

Could be he's just a racist jerk, I suppose.

@kdfrawg What do you have against the Lords of COBOL? :-)

//

I looked it up; to translate between English and North American, dual carriageway = divided highway, and motorway = freeway (or turnpike if there's a toll charged).

Next, we'll contemplate why a hood is a bonnet, and a convertible top is a hood. :-)

//

I should know this, but what is the difference between a motorway and a dual carriageway? My Queen's English is rusty.

//

That is just painful. I tend to forget that not everywhere in the world can be reached via arrow-straight Interstate highways at 80 mph.
