@literary The Pixel looks like a nice phone. Congratulations!
Home phone rings…
Wife: 916 area code…that's Sacramento
Me: Probably election-related
Wife: doesn't answer phone
@kdfrawg In any case, original or not, it's still a damn nice 96. Better than I've seen in a very long time, since they're a bit thin on the ground over here.
@kdfrawg Judging from the curved windshield, I'd say that's an early 99. But looks right for that model, though.
@kdfrawg The upper portions are OK, but there are an awful lot of buttons on the lower portion. Could be a socialist-era home fix for sagging material, I suppose.
@kdfrawg It is, innit? Could almost be from a contemporary road test. While I generally prefer stock steering wheels, the Moto-Lita is nice, too. Not too sure about the interior door panels, though. They don't look stock to me.
@kdfrawg Can't say that I have. Looks like he hasn't been on Twitter or ADN, either.

This is interesting to me. Apart from the fact that I have always wanted a V-4 Saab 96 of precisely this vintage, the fact that it was ostensibly originally delivered to Czechoslovakia is…odd. Presumably, anyone in the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic who was buying a Swedish car must have been what the East Germans called a Parteibonzen.
