@hazardwarning I got good at text shortcuts in Word at university. When I had to repeatedly type things like "Khrushchev" or "Ngo Dinh Diem" or "Dnepropetrovsk" in my class notes (yes, I studied the Cold War), they saved my life.
@peemee Age 12, because I was tested and know what my IQ was at age 12 (and presumably is still today), and it's considerably higher than that. :-)
@hazardwarning Gotta amuse myself somehow when I'm dealing with repetitive tasks. :-)
Just set up a keyboard shortcut in Word for a long phrase that I have to type repeatedly regarding analysis text.
The shortcut I chose is "analtext."
I am twelve.
@skematica This is a work in progress, but see this: http://blog.larryanderson.org/2016/09/26/bye-bye-tiny-fingered-white-guy
@kdfrawg Low pay, high stress, and low social status means there's a higher incidence of smoking, alcohol abuse, and drug abuse. For the most part, these are not people who can relieve their stress with weekends on the Vineyard.
@thrrgilag My company might have some advice for you: http://www.jdpower.com/cars

@kdfrawg Mom and pop places are often places with bad boundaries and unprofessional behavior. I always worked in a corporate environment, where legal niceties had to be observed to the letter.
The one time I was unceremoniously fired, it was from a mom and pop bookstore that went under a few months later, and don't think there wasn't a bit of Schadenfreude on my part when it happened. :-)
@kdfrawg Based on my experience in the industry, it is tough, with long hours for little money and no respect from people outside. But anyplace where physical and mental abuse was a normal part of life would be a place that was badly managed and should be reported to the authorities.
@kdfrawg Sometimes you fight like hell and lose anyway. Americans usually forget that.
