@gtwilson At the moment, the only charger that's working with my Pixel 2 XL is an iPad Air charger with a third-party USB-A to USB-C cable. The stock Google charger does nothing. I even ordered a second one, which also won't work.
Oh well, at least they'll both work with the new phone…

So…
Last night phone refused to charge. Tried multiple chargers/cables. Nada.
Still refused to charge this morning. Said "f*** this" and ordered new phone to arrive Wed/Thurs.
Came to work, still no go. Plugged phone into USB-C connector to the dock for my laptop, because why the hell not. Started charging. Unplugged, plugged into charger. Still charging.
Still glad I ordered new phone since there's obviously a problem and I can't be without one for any length of time, but WTF?

@matigo I've seen some big oranges, but we probably don't export them to Japan.

So…I don't want to jinx anything, but I went to Staples this morning and got a USB-A to USB-C cable and used it to charge my phone from an iPad charger, and now it doesn't seem to be draining like crazy anymore. Pray that it stays this way.
@hazardwarning Over here you can get special windscreen washer fluid that is designed not to freeze. Always wondered why they bothered selling it in southern California, but hey, whatever. :-)
