I like finding bugs. :-)

I get to test a prototype of our new online survey template today and try to break it, as well as give input on usability to the design team. This is the part of my job I love the best.

Meanwhile, at the office…

There was a fatal shooting across the street at the cemetery 45 minutes ago. Didn't hear a thing, but we've been notified to avoid that area. I'm fine. Cops and TV people are over there.

Life in these United States, 2018.

Congrats on the new car! We used to get those here as the Mazda5, but it made too much sense so Americans didn't buy enough of them. I see your number plate hasn't changed much, except for trading the kei-class yellow plates for white plates.

Slacker. ;-)

When we moved into this office three years ago, we were told we couldn't have toasters in the break room because they were a fire hazard.

So today, one week after our area was set ablaze in the Woolsey and Hill Fires and the whole city was evacuated, what appeared next to the coffee makers?

Toasters.

Still alive, just not around much on social media as I dig out at work from the backlog due to the fires. I need to clone myself.

This is what I'm wearing today.

Better 12 grand on that than on a Rolex that looks like every other Rolex, but yeah, that's a hefty pricetag.

Good enough for swimming, anyway, as long as the caseback hasn't been opened up. Never trust a watch in the water once it's been opened until it's pressure tested. Or if it's really old.
