@hazardwarning There's a proven connection between language ability and music, specifically the ability to play an instrument, which is interesting. I knew I'd never be a great musician, but I do wish I'd stuck with Russian thirty years ago and become fluent. Oh, well.

@hazardwarning It's fascinating to me that there's a small colony of Welsh speakers in Argentina, of all places. Amazing they haven't been totally assimilated--in America, it would only take about three generations and nobody would know the old language any more.

@hazardwarning Over thirty years ago, I knew a man from London who learned Welsh mostly just to see if he could (he was a polyglot who spoke six others, too). Always found that impressive, since it's a bit niche outside Wales, and looks like someone randomly scattered consonants across the page. :-)

@hazardwarning Also, Matthew Rhys is frighteningly good at accents. I saw a clip somewhere of him doing something like a dozen different accents in quick succession, and he was convincing at all of them. And given that English isn't even his first language, that's amazing.

@kdfrawg I'm a huge fan of Amazon Video and Amazon Music. I've uploaded my digital music collection there, and I use the Amazon Music app instead of the stock app on my iPhone. For video, I particularly like that I can download content for offline viewing (my home Internet connection is not the fastest).

@hazardwarning Both of the TVs in our house predate the era of digital broadcasting (and flat panels) and are currently not hooked up, so all of my watching happens on my Fire tablet and my Windows tablet.
